The run was completed at 6:00pm on Parliament Hill. The runners were greeted by Minister Jason Kenney and Member of Parliament, Navdeep Bains. Pavan Kaur made a speech outlining the reason for the run and the cause. Minister Jason Kenney addressed the runners and told them how fortunate they are to experience the vastness of Canada from coast to coast. He asked that the runners go back and share their experiences with ninety percent of Canadians who have not seen and can not imagine the beauty of Canada, the second largest country in the world. He wished them well on their journey on to Vancouver and mentioned that he would see if the Prime Minister could join the runners along the way. He brought greetings from the Prime Minister. Jagdish Grewal also came from Toronto to cover the event from the Punjabi press.
